Luca Toni, Ufficiale OMRI ((:ˈluːka ˈtɔːni); born 26 May 1977) is an Italian professional footballer who plays for Verona as a striker. He has represented the Italian national team at the 2006 World Cup, UEFA Euro 2008, and the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup, most notably winning the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
As well as the team medals he has collected, he has also won several individual honours, including the ''Capocannonieri'' for the 2005–06 season, in which he scored 31 goals (the most goals in a Serie A season since 1958–59), and the 2014–15 season, in which he scored 22 goals, becoming the oldest player to win the Capocannoniere title; he also finished as topscorer with 24 goals in the 2007–08 Bundesliga.
